The BIM combination (bimetal) of an HCS blade (carbon steel) and HSS teeth (high-speed steel) counteracts wear and overheating when cutting non-hardened metals and abrasive materials. Bosch-patented circular welding technology melts HSS tooth pieces together with an HCS blade construction to create robust free-standing teeth that prevent jamming and burn marks, providing effective results with repeated use. The blade is designed for planing door frames and smaller moldings, cutting laminate and parquet, planing wood, and sawing non-hardened metal, plastic, and combination metals. The pointed segment saw blade ends can cut into very small corners while providing consistent results when cutting wood. The Starlock Snap-In mounting system ensures quick removal and replacement of the blade within 3 seconds without having to touch it. The mounting system produces the highest power transfer through a 3-dimensional tight-fitting connection between machine and accessory. It is compatible with all Starlock-, Starlock Plus-,and Starlock Max-power tools as well as common multi-tools.
