The exposed 135-degree split self-centering tip of the drill head combines active cutting with perfect centering without displacement for maximum precision. This precision-ground drill head, made of HSS (high-speed steel), provides up to 40% faster drilling and up to 50% lower clamping pressure than standard ground HSS cutting edge drill heads. This drill head is designed for drilling holes in alloyed and non-alloyed steel, cast steel, cast iron, sintered iron, reduced cast iron, non-ferrous metals and hard plastic. The ground HSS spiral bore head is manufactured according to DIN 338. The bore head is of type N (notch angle) with a 135-degree tip and a diameter tolerance of h8.
