S-Phyre is Shimano's absolute top model in shoes and it offers some of the best in cycling shoes. This model is made for cross and XC driving. It has a very stiff carbon sole that is perfect for transferring massive amounts of watts from your feet and over to the pedals. The sole has a stiffness index of 11 out of 12. This is one of the absolute stiffest shoes that Shimano makes. The shoe is closed with the two Boa IP1 swivel clasps that ensure that the pressure is distributed evenly over the entire shoe. The upper is made in a seamless design of synthetic leather and therefore has an absolute minimum of seams. It is very breathable and is therefore perfect for even hot days. The outsole is made with a small piece of Michelin rubber, which helps to increase the grip on uneven terrain. The heel is made so that it grips well around the foot, which provides a stable and secure pedal thread.
