Use3M casting sleeve kit straight line sleeve. Transparent, robust one-piece mold, simple mounting for unshielded cable < 1 kV. Can be used above/below ground and under water. The casting sleeve kit is for straight through splitting (straight-line sleeve). The casting sleeve kit consists of a mold (two joined shells ''submarine'' with transparent shell), 90 ml., 3M casting compound type Scotchcast 40 (polyurethane), cable sealing inserts, wire separator, Scotch Brite abrasive sponge for cleaning the cable, stopper so that the molding compound cannot drain out and instruction. Casting compound comes in a practical bag and with integrated pouring system so that the molding does not come into contact with the skin. At the ends of the mold, included cable inserts are placed so that no casting compound runs out. The joint provides both electrical and mechanical protection for the cable assembly. The amount of casting compound is adapted to the mold so that there is only a minimal excess of casting compound. The casting mass must typically be used within 3 years from the date of production. There is an expiration date on each bag of molding compound.
